Day 1






Today is the first day of my food blog! I had the idea to start taking pictures of what I eat to inspire me to eat healthier. Today is also the first day of the King Weight Loss Challenge. The challenge is a 20 week challenge to lose weight and shape up before my cousin Brad's wedding on June 5th. This blog will hopefully work as a liaison between all other King Weight Loss Challengers and myself.

Breakfast:
South Beach Diet Bar: 100 calories
Snack:
Yo Crunch Cheesecake Yogurt: 100 calories
Lunch:
Amy's Organic White Cheddar Macaroni with spinach and a grilled chicken breast: 397 calories
Coffee:
with one tablespoon sugar free vanilla syrup and a tablespoon of half and half (in my Team Edward mug) : 12 calories
Dinner: I made chicken lettuce wraps with black beans and steamed carrots
My serving was around 304 calories.

So far my calorie total today is: 913 calories and I am now considering a hundred calorie chocolate ice cream...

Chocolate ice with a mini frozen chocolate chip cookie dough: 153 calories

new total: 1,066 calories

Guacamole Recipe:
For the Guacamole:
1 large, ripe avocado (skin gives a little when pressed on, should be dark green to almost black)
1/2 large, ripe tomato
1/4 sweet onion
1/3 bunch cilantro
Juice of 3 key limes (or 1 small lime)

    B-fast(265 cals):
    -Barbara's Bakery Shredded Spoonfuls (dry because I hate how fast cereal gets soggy: 180 cals
    -1/2 grapefruit: 60 cals
    -Earl grey with nonfat milk: 24 cals

    Lunch (538 cals):
    -Tom ka gai (cocnut soup) 1 cup- 211 cals
    -7 pc. Sushi tray- 327 cals
    -Unsweet African Rooibos iced tea- 2 cals

    Dinner(432 cals):
    -Tortellini 1 cup- 332 cals
    -Puttanesca marinara 1/4 cup- 25 cals
    -Field green salad (1 cup) with Annie's Goddess Dressing (1 tbsp, Plus I water it down and it's still noms)

    Snacks(579 cals):
    -Hot cocoa w/ nonfat milk- 210 cals
    -Trail mix- 173 cals
    -Pear- 103 cals
    -Coffee w/ nonfat milk- 92 cals
